Help with my djembe (african drum)?
Does anyone have some good beats I could use? For instance (just a guess) : O O O S S O R R O S?
Well, with your open, open, open slap, slap, open, roll, roll, open slap, you'd need to put the rests and spaces in there.
There are many rhythms you can play on djembe - I played congas (timables, sound-effects, etc.), but you can play some of the same rhythms on Djembe, just using the one drum.
I'm not certain if you're looking for jazz beats for the Djembe? Which would be interesting, or Salsa, Merengue, Soca, African Rhythms (which would be native to the Djembe). If I knew, I'd check out some rhythm patterns for you.

It's such a great song (silly, because it's about soccer, but!) and I really like the background music. I know I've heard other songs with choral work, and djembe drums, but I just can't seem to remember their names, or find them again. I'm putting together a presentation for my Sociology class on African Cultures, and would like to do it musically, since music is a world language itself.
